Ashmead School

Ashmead provides its children with two everlasting things, one is roots, the other wings.

High 5 Netball Festival

Picture 1

On Friday 12th May 11 boys and girls braved the weather to play in a 3 hour netball festival at Cottesloe School. The teams were mixed into 2 teams: 'Sparks' and 'Blazes' and the matches were 6 minutes long.

All the children thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon, relaxing and letting their hair down after SATs. Nearly every child managed to score at least 1 goal, with the top scorers being Floyd (6) and Ali and Jack (5). Ashmead Sparks didn't lose a single game but drew 4, whereas Ashmead Blazes lost 2 but won 5!

Fantastic netball play from everyone (particularly the newcomers Shawal, Floyd, Jack and Amir), they all played brilliantly!

Each team came 2nd in their pools!

We came 2nd overall in the tournament!!
