Welcome to Ashmead Nursery

At Ashmead Nursery we cater for funded children from 2  to 4 years old.

We offer a wide and varied curriculum based around the 7 Areas of Learning linked to the Early Years Foundation Stage.

The three Prime Areas of learning  are Personal, Social and Emotional development, Communication and Language and Physical Development.

The four Specific Areas of learning that run alongside the Prime Areas are Literacy, Mathematics, Understanding of the World and Expressive Arts and Design.

We work hard to ensure our environment and staff interaction ensures the children develop to the best of their ability in these key areas of learning. We strive to ensure that at all times we offer a curriculum that is exciting and fun and one that will reflect the school's ethos of learning through experience.

Registration for the Nursery is done by the school, please contact the school office to arrange a visit or for an application form.

Our first day at Ashmead Nursery.

Celebrating Ashmead School at 40!

We released balloons to celebrate Ashmead's 40th year. All the children enjoyed decorating tags and helping Emma inflate their balloons.

We were a little sad to see them blow away, but they looked wonderful in the sky and travelled very quickly.

We are hoping we might be lucky enough to find out how far some of the balloons travelled.

Getting the balloon's ready to be released!

One of our balloons ended up in Tunstall Forest in Suffolk, 131 miles away! Thank you to M. Barry who sent us an email with this picture.

We have also made a tree of hands in celebration of Ashmead's 40th year.

Our new sandpit.

We have been fundraising for a new sandpit. Mr Ayling has done an amazing job constructing it and filling it with sand.

Everyone has had a wonderful time playing in it.

A big thank you to all our parents whose generosity has allowed for the purchase of this ENORMOUS sandpit!
