Ashmead choir took a trip into town this morning to perform some Christmas songs to members of the public. They were helping Child Bereavement UK as part of their annual fundraiser and sang beautifully to help raise money for this very worthy cause.
We have had a busy few weeks in years 4 and 5! After our half term break, we took part in some fencing classes which we really enjoyed. More recently, we have been working in our lessons to learn about the importance of Remembrance Day. Some children from year 5 were lucky enough to be invited to Mandeville School to take part in some activities relating to Remembrance Day. On the Friday before Remembrance Sunday, we all took part in a big assembly where we shared with our team, and the year 6 children, all the things we have been learning about during our PSHE and history lessons. Please find below a selection of photos from the last few weeks!
Getting settled in years 4 and 5!
We have had a busy few weeks getting ourselves sorted and becoming used to our new routines. Everyone is working really hard and we have had some great work produced already. Children are enjoying our new topic and learning lots of interesting facts about World War One.
Thank you to everyone who came to our open evening last week. If you were unable to attend, please find below, the presentation we went through along with some photos of our new classrooms!
