Autumn Term

Please scroll down to remember all the fun, interesting and exciting things we got up to throughout the Autumn Term! smiley

Welcome back to Autumn Term!

We hope that you have had a lovely, restful summer break, and are now ready and excited for all the new and fun things we will learn this term.

Owl Visit!

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit from Sue the owl lady, who brought a variety of owls to school. The children listened well to the information Sue gave, and asked some very interesting questions.

Take a look at the photos of Moss and his owl friends!

Flight Surprise!

The children were so engrossed in listening to all the interesting facts and information that the balloon man told them. They particularly enjoyed seeing the balloon get stretched out and inflated! Mrs Coates, Mrs C and Mr Dargie even got to stand in the basket! What a wonderful surprise we had!

Year 2 Maths Methods

Thank you to all of those who came along to the Year 2 Maths Methods workshop with Miss Lubbock. If you didn't make it, please take a look at the useful documents part of our class page where you will find the powerpoint and leaflet to help with Maths at home.

Peter Pan Cast Announced!

A very well done to all those children who learned the lines to audition for the main parts of our upcoming production, Peter Pan. It was extremely difficult to decide as there were so many amazing auditions where the children used loud, clear and expressive voices.

HUGE congratulations to the following children who have been given a main part in the production!

Year 3: Zoha, Ubaid, Lia

Year 2: Julia

Ashmead Remembers

Some children in Year 2 and 3 enjoyed some creative lessons to remember the those who served in the Great War, whilst also remembering those still currently risking their lives.

We made wreaths and poppies made from plastic bottles.

Please take a look at the photos, Miss Lubbock and Miss Venn proudly laid their wreath at a memorial parade.
