Autumn Term

We have had another successful half term here in years 4 and 5! Everyone has worked really hard and has definitely earned their Christmas break! We wish you a very happy Christmas and look forward to seeing you in January for the start of a new topic!

We have had a very busy start to the year and the weeks have whizzed by!

Our topic of ‘Raiders of the Lost Empire’ has seen us learning all about the Romans! We have been writing about the characters from the story of ‘Romulus and Remus’ and have also been writing non chronological reports about Roman artefacts. In Science, we have been investigating which material would be the best insulator for a Roman soldier’s drink!

We had a visit from Coral Rumble for ‘National Poetry Day’ and some children got to work on writing some poetry with her.We were also lucky enough to have a visit from the ‘New Mozart Orchestra’ last week. They gave us an amazing rendition of the story of ‘Hansel and Gretel’. We all sang a song together and some brave children even joined in and played along with them!

Take a look below to see photos of our classrooms!

We hope you all have a wonderful half term and enjoy the break, we will see you on Tuesday 5th November!
