Motorbikes being used off road – Edinburgh Playing Fields
The Aylesbury Neighbourhood Policing Team (NHPT) have received a number of recent reports of motorbikes and mini mopeds being driven off-road in the Edinburgh Playing Fields area.
These bikes pose a risk to innocent members of the public, who might be walking in the area. The riders (usually youths) also risk injuring themselves as they are often ridden recklessly.
The NHPT are keen to identify the riders of these bikes and would ask anyone that has information to contact them. The Aylesbury South NHPT can be contacted via the 24 hour Police Enquiry Centre number 101.
If you have information but don’t want to talk to the police you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111, or report it online. No personal details will be taken, information is not traced or recorded and you will not go to court.
Police have the power to seize any bikes that are being ridden illegally and have recently recovered one in the Coxhill Way area of Aylesbury.
They will continue to use these powers wherever and whenever possible.
Have a happy and healthy Easter break. We look forward to seeing you all again on Monday 19th April :)
