Ashmead School

Ashmead provides its children with two everlasting things, one is roots, the other wings.

Gardening Club Tips

Tip 1- When planting beans or peas, use toilet roll tubes instead of pots. The tubes will encourage the roots to grow downwards and when it comes to planting them out, you can plant the whole tube as it will decompose. This method encourages worms which are excellent for creating healthy soil and it also reduces the use of plastic.

Tip 2- Worms are great for the soil! Use a bit of worm charming to find some to put in your vegetable patch. Your growing vegetables will love it!
