We begin the year with the Traditional Tale of Goldilocks and the Three Bears. Using actions and song in Talk4Writing time, the children began to bring the story to life. The repetitive pattern combined with actions makes this an ideal story for little learners. We had discussions about our favourite teddy bear or cuddly toy at home and in maths we shared our favourite number songs. With increasing confidence, the children are getting to know the people and new environment around them.
