Ashmead School

Ashmead provides its children with two everlasting things, one is roots, the other wings.

Week 2

We have had a busy week! We have been placing superheroes around the world, we had our first PE lessons and we became scientists and learnt about the seasons.

In Literacy we have found out what adjectives and nouns are. We now know how describe people, places and objects. We have been playing pairs and writing our own phrases for room on the broom.

In Maths we have been practising counting to 100. We filled in missing numbers as silly Miss Lubbock forgot to put them all on the hundred square! Outside we ordered numbers, built towers and cut out numbers all the way 30.

The most exciting part of our week was on Friday when a mysterious letter arrived from Mr S. Worm! He thinks that we only think superheroes wear capes and have superpowers. Today we read his story and found out that not all superheroes wear capes. Maybe next week we could use our adjectives and nouns to write all about our new friend Superworm.
