What a mess!!
We came to school on Monday and discovered flour paw prints all over the corridor and in our classrooms, marmalade smeared on our tables, bowls, spoons, more flour and a mysteriously sticky letter!
We read the letter and soon realised that the mess had been caused by Paddington Bear. He had tried to bake a cake but had caused mayhem instead. So we decided to clear up the mess and to try to make a cake ourselves. Fortunately we were far more successful and our marmalade cakes tasted sweet and delicious.
We were able to use this experience to support our instruction writing throughout the week.
