Maths
In years 4/5 the children are put into sets for Maths. Maths is taught from 11.45 to 12.45 everyday. Children are taught to be fluent in all their times tables and are expected to sit a National Times Table test in year 4. Therefore, extra practice of times table is encouraged at home through the use of the TT Rockstars website which the children all have logins for. These log in details can be found in the children's Maths Homework Folders. Please see below some extra ideas for how times tables can be practiced at home.
Homework
Each week the children will receive some maths homework and have been given Maths Homework Folders. Often this will be online homework which will be set on MyMaths and the children's logins can be found in the form of a letter in their homework folders. Occasionally, their maths teacher may set a sheet for their homework instead. Homework is given out on a Friday and is expected to be handed in by the following Wednesday.
