This week we have been acting out the story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears. We mixed up some gooey porridge and thought of words to describe the texture of it in the bowl. The children retold the story using actions and song as well as using bears and other props in the role play area. Our Talk4Writing time each morning is crucial for developing the children’s language and communication skills. They learn about characters as well as exploring new vocabulary.
As Summer has ended and the season turns to Autumn we talked about ‘change’ and the way that trees will start to lose their leaves. We also talked about how we change and grow, building on from last week.
In maths we have been using Numberblocks to have fun understanding the meaning of 1 and 2, as a whole and as part of a group.
