Ashmead School

Ashmead provides its children with two everlasting things, one is roots, the other wings.

Young Carers

Last week, some of our Young Carers had a wonderful afternoon at the Bucks Young Carers Schools Awards. The Young Carers had an afternoon of disco dancing, donuts and were presented their very own award for all of the amazing things they do as Young Carers. Whilst only 10 of our Young Carers could attend this event, this award is for all of our wonderful Young Carers. We will be having an end of year party for all of our Young Carers to celebrate at. The children will also be sharing their award in assemblies over the next few weeks.

A HUGE THANK YOU TO OUR PTA WHO FUNDED THE MINIBUS ALLOWING THE CHILDREN TO ATTEND THE EVENT.

The Young Carers at Ashmead were very lucky this half term as they were treated to a morning out to celebrate what wonderful children they are! We visited Waterside Theatre to watch David Walliams show, Demon Dentist. We travelled on a coach to the theatre and we were very excited as it was a double decker! The children were lucky enough to sit right at the front of the theatre. We enjoyed watching the show and even had a special interval treat... ice cream!

This project received funds from the Thriving Communities Fund, a community grants scheme run by Fairhive Homes. If you would like more information about the grants available, please email the Grants Officer, tcfgrant@fairhive.co.uk or phone on 01296 732600.

A big thank you to our PTA who managed to secure the funding from Fairhive!
